    Why is it so hard to maintain a health improvement regimen?

    Do you find yourself starting and stopping, coming back to the same discouraging place? Are you making the same promises to yourself that you made many times before? You’re not alone. There are more hidden obstacles to your quest for health improvement than you can reliably identify, and that is where a fresh set of objective eyes can be useful. That’s why we developed the Health Improvement Consultation.

    Understanding your mental blocks, along with learning about and responding to your body’s vital signals, are important skills to accompany a health improvement plan. Along with other health collaborators (physicians, nutritionists, personal trainers, health coaches, etc.), my role comes into play in helping you gain insight into your blind spots and long-developed negative health habits, learning to control stress and read your body’s signals more clearly, and develop a more self-assured attitude toward your health goals.

    The Health Improvement Consultation may take many different forms, including, but not limited to:

    • Traditional psychotherapy with a health-oriented theme
    • Support for problematic eating patterns or sedentary lifestyle behaviors
    • Biofeedback and other modalities for stress management
    • Collaborative Assessment
    • Special programming for men’s health concerns
